Conecuh County Released Inmates
A released person is someone whose custody episode has ended in one system. In Conecuh County, that can mean a local jail release after bond, a court order, time served, dismissal, transfer, or a hold clearing. It can also mean a state prisoner leaving Alabama Department of Corrections custody, a federal prisoner leaving BOP custody, or a person moving from jail into another agency's custody. The right record depends on which event occurred.
The local jail contact is the Conecuh County Sheriff's Office, 104 Liberty Street, Evergreen, AL 36401, phone 251-578-1260. Research did not locate a working Conecuh-specific online current or released roster on July 12, 2026. That does not mean no release record exists. It means the public path starts with the sheriff, the court docket, and any participating notification or adjacent roster system.
Conecuh County Release Types
Conecuh County release records are event records. A single person can have several events across systems: a bond release from jail, a later court sentence, a transfer to ADOC, and then a prison release to supervision. That is why a search should not stop after one portal.
| Release type | What it means | Where to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Bond or recognizance | The person leaves jail before final disposition under a court order or bond terms. | Sheriff release record and Conecuh court docket. |
| Time served or sentence complete | The custody term is complete for that case or jail sentence. | Court disposition and jail release record. |
| Dismissal, acquittal, or nolle prosequi | The case result may end the jail hold. | AlaCourt and Conecuh Circuit Clerk records. |
| Transfer | The person leaves Conecuh custody for ADOC, another jail, federal custody, or ICE. | Receiving agency locator plus the court record. |
| Parole or mandatory supervision | A state prisoner leaves prison but remains under ABPP supervision. | ABPP Evergreen Field Office and VNS/VINELink when covered. |
Conecuh County Release Record Fields
A Conecuh County release record should be requested narrowly. Ask for the booking and release record for a named custody event, not for a broad personal history. The adjacent Escambia released roster shows the kind of fields that may appear when a Conecuh arresting-agency record is processed there.
| Field | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Name and booking number | Links the release to one jail booking event. |
| Booking date and release date | Shows when the person entered and left custody. |
| Arresting agency | May show Conecuh County Sheriff's Office, even on an adjacent county roster. |
| Charges and bond | Shows booking-level charge and bond information, subject to court change. |
| Release type or reason | May show bond, transfer, sentence completion, court order, or another basis. |
| Booking photograph | May be held by the booking jail if publicly releasable. |
The Escambia released profile observed in research showed Conecuh County Sheriff's Office as the arresting agency and included a release date. Use that kind of record as a lead, then verify the legal result with the detention center or court.
The profile example is useful because it proves a Conecuh-related release can surface outside Conecuh's own web footprint.
Request Conecuh County Release Records
For local jail records, contact the Conecuh County Sheriff's Office as custodian. No Conecuh-specific online public-records form was confirmed in the research. A useful request identifies the person, date of birth if known, approximate booking date, and the record sought: booking number, booking date, release date, release reason, charges at booking, arresting agency, bond information, and booking photograph if releasable.
- Start with the sheriff at 104 Liberty Street, Evergreen, AL 36401, or call 251-578-1260.
- Ask whether the person was released, transferred, bonded out, sentenced, or held for another agency.
- For a written request, cite the named booking event and ask for the booking and release record.
- Use the Conecuh Circuit Clerk if the needed proof is a disposition, sentence, bond order, or dismissal.
- Use ADOC Form 23-A for state prison release records, with the current form's fee instructions.
Alabama public records law is found in Title 36, Chapter 12, Article 3. Access can still be limited by sealed records, expungement, juvenile or Youthful Offender status, investigative limits, protected identifiers, and other statutory exceptions.
Find Released Conecuh County Inmates
The practical search path begins with custody type. Local jail release starts with the sheriff and court. State prison status starts with ADOC, but only to test current custody because ADOC's public search is not a historical release archive. Federal release starts with BOP. Immigration custody starts with ICE ODLS. Registry status starts with ALEA only for qualifying registrants.
- Call or visit the Conecuh County Sheriff's Office for a recent local jail release.
- Search the Conecuh court record through Conecuh Circuit Clerk information and AlaCourt access.
- Check Escambia County's released roster if the person may have been processed there or the record shows a Conecuh arresting agency.
- Search ADOC current inmate search if the person may be in state prison.
- Use VINELink inmate search, ABPP, BOP, ICE, or ALEA when the custody type points there.
ADOC Search for Conecuh Releases
ADOC's public inmate search states that the database contains currently incarcerated inmates only and that historical data is not available online. That warning matters for Conecuh County released inmates. A missing ADOC result may mean the person has been released, but it may also mean the person was never in ADOC custody, the name is wrong, the person is in another system, or the record is restricted.
| ADOC field | How to use it |
|---|---|
| AIS number | The unique six-digit ADOC number. Use it first when known. |
| First and last name | Use when AIS is unknown. Partial name searches can return broad results. |
| Minimum Release Date | ADOC's Alabama label for the earliest scheduled release to probation or end of sentence. |
| Parole Status | Shows parole-related status for current state prisoners, not a county jail release. |
The ADOC current inmate search is still valuable when a Conecuh jail case may have moved into a state sentence.
Use ADOC to separate current state custody from local jail release, then move to records requests or supervision checks for release confirmation.
Conecuh Court Release Clues
Conecuh's court site is a stronger online path than the local sheriff web footprint. The Circuit Clerk page says court records are electronically imaged and that most trial court information is available through AlaCourt's Just One Look service with required fees. A court docket can show bond posted, arraignment, disposition, sentence, probation, split sentence, dismissal, acquittal, nolle prosequi, revocation, time served, or payment and traffic status.
This court-first path is especially useful for older releases. A jail web record may be gone, while the court docket still shows the legal event that ended custody. For expungement, Conecuh court links point to Legal Services Alabama and court eforms, and Alabama Legal Help explains expungement. Keep that issue focused on public-record access and court process.
Conecuh Release Notification Paths
Alabama has both VINELink and the Alabama Victim Notification System. The state VNS page says it is for offenders convicted in Alabama and sentenced to prison, and directs untried county cases to the sheriff. VINELink can still be useful for custody-status alerts when the agency participates, but it is not a complete Conecuh jail release archive.
Federal and immigration releases are separate. The BOP inmate locator covers federal inmates from 1982 to the present and includes released federal prisoners after 1982. ICE ODLS is for current ICE custody or CBP custody over 48 hours. A person can leave Conecuh jail and still move to another custody system.
Conecuh Release Lookup Table
Use the source that matches the custody event. A live jail roster answers a different question from a court docket or prison release record.
| Question | Best source | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Was this person released from Conecuh jail? | Conecuh County Sheriff's Office and court docket. | No working Conecuh online release feed was confirmed. |
| Did a Conecuh arrest appear in a short release feed? | Escambia County released roster. | Only when the person was processed there or the profile matches. |
| Is the person still in Alabama prison? | ADOC current inmate search. | Current-only, not historical release data. |
| Is the person under parole or probation? | ABPP Evergreen Field Office. | Not a public list of every supervised person. |
| Was this a federal release? | BOP inmate locator. | Federal-only, not a county jail record. |
